LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By sending or bringing your laptop/desktop to LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE to be repaired, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Our technicians have requested that a full fault description be provided to assist in the diagnosis and the repair of your Laptop. Failure to communicate all issues is likely to result in some faults not been attended to.
Please provide a list of any accessories you are dropping in / sending with your devise. Claims by you relating to failure to return an accessory item or software disk will not be honoured unless you provide us with a list of what you say was sent at the time of booking.
DOOR TO DOOR PICK UP AND RETURN COURIER SERVICE
LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE uses a variety of transportation methods depending on your location, urgency, size of package, etc. We will assist you in finding the best shipping method based on our experience and your specific requirement
If you the customer have asked us to book a courier service on your behalf, you are liable for any missed collection or redelivery attempts by the courier as well as any back charges from the courier. We will pass on any back charges from the courier up to 7 years from the date of collection. You are also liable for any back charges should you under declare your package.
If you have selected to use a TNT Overnight Packet service, please note this Service is only for specific size and weights, so it is extremely important that you have correctly weighed and measured your box. If this service is under declared, you could be BACK BILLED over $100 in additional freight charges.
The Courier will always aim to collect or deliver your device at the time and day confirmed with you. We will not be held responsible for delayed or missed delivery attempts, please redirect all enquires to the courier company. Please check your email to ensure your details provided are correct at the time of booking. You are liable for any charges we incur due to incorrect information provided.
- Pick a strong box no larger than 42cm*30cm*9cm. If your box is larger, please advise our customer service, extra courier charges may apply. As a general guideline, use a box with at least a 1″ air gap between the laptop and the box on the top, bottom and sides of your laptop. There should be no tears or damage on the box. If you are using a box used to ship something previously, please remove/black out all labels so there is no confusion as to where the package is going/should be shipped to. Make sure the box weight is less than 3kg; please notify our staff if your box is more than 3kg, extra courier charges apply.
- Fill air gap with padding to prevent damage. I.e. bubble wrap, or similar protective material. The packing material should fill the entire air gap to reduce movement during transit.
- Please send us the whole laptop including the battery but you DO NOT need to send us the AC adapter/charger. Just make sure the laptop is fully chargedso we can turn on the computer to see if the new screen lights up OK.
- Also pack a copy of your repair request in the box so that we can easily identify your laptop when it is received.
- After receiving courier label/coupon. Seal box with thick tape and stick shipping label on top of the box where it will be scanned by the courier staff.
- Once your job is done and payment confirmation received, we will ship the item back to you in the same box using your existing packing materials where possible.
If the above packing instructions are not followed, you will be responsible for any damages/cost incurred. Packaging on arrival becomes the property of LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE to recycle or dispose of as we see fit.
Cancellation of Courier Service
If you decide to cancel the courier service within 24 hours of your scheduled pickup time you will be liable to pay for the courier fees for that booking and any additional labour charges associated with the cancellation of your booking.
Loss/Damage in Transit.
If there is loss/damage “in transit”, we will assess who we deem to be responsible and you agree that our determination is final. We are not responsible to any loss or damage during transit. If you are at fault you agree to pay for the repairs caused by poor packaging. Any loss or damage insurance claim will be via the courier company if applicable. Please note you will be liable for any insurance excess fee payable as well as an admin fee of $100 to LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE for assisting you in the claim and to cover our admin costs.
Please note courier services we suggest may have limited/no cover for loss or damage, if you would like to purchase extra cover please ask us for another courier service or you can send it via Australia Post where cover can be purchased separately.

If the courier attempts to pickup/deliver your package and you are not available to hand over your package, you are responsible to contact the courier company directly to arrange for a re-collection/re-delivery. Client will be liable for any costs associated with re-collection/re-delivery.
It is your responsibility to backup your laptop data. This includes all hard drives, memory or flash cards. We are not liable for any data loss.
Although we aim to get your device repaired / diagnosed as quickly as possible, the service can sometimes take longer than anticipated. We normally aim to diagnose and repair your unit within 1-14 business days but sometimes the repair can take longer. Sometimes we have to source parts from outside of Australia and can take several weeks before we receive the parts and clear customs. We will not be held responsible for any repairs that exceed our estimated completion time. We will make every effort to inform you if we expect a delay in our service.
For some jobs, we may need to re-install your operating system. This involves formatting your hard disk and re-installing the operating system back to the factory setting. We will contact you prior to doing this but if you require your data to be backed up prior to the wipe and restored back to your computer once the operating system has been re-installed please let us know. There will be additional charges associated with this service.
You acknowledges that due to the nature of our express onsite services, there is a potential risk of damage or loss including, but not limited to, damage to your office, home, business computer hardware, its cabling, hubs, routers, switches, accessories, and furniture, as well as potential risk of damage, corruption, or loss of computer software, applications, data, and data storage media.
You agree to release LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE from all liability for damage or loss as well as any incidental or consequential material or financial damage or loss that may result from the actions of LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE.
You grant LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE permission to physically access your home or office where your computer system and/or network reside.
You grant LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE permission to install hardware in your computer including but not limited to, processor chips, memory chips, cooling fans, batteries, hard drives.
In booking in a job at any LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE workshop you give us permission to transfer the job to any other workshop of ours or a third party to affect the repair in the fastest and most professional manner. We may not advise you of this shipment as we normally only return your equipment to you at the same location that you booked it into.
Liability for Loss or Damage. You agree that incidental marking; scratches, etc could result from disassembly of your equipment. Where your laptop is designed by the manufacturer to be not disassembled, such as screens on Apple Macbook Air or Ultrabooks, you acknowledge and accept that some damage may occur during dismantling and repair.
It can take many hours to fully diagnose and repair your computer and often we need to purchase parts that are required for your repair. If at any time you decide to cancel the repair you will be liable to make payment of any parts ordered for your repair and a calculation of the cost of labour to the maximum of the agreed quoted cost of repair will be charged. We will not release any item back to you until payment in full is received.
You agree to promptly collect and pay for your repairs or service fees. Please note that uncollected goods will be disposed of pursuant of The Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act 1967 which covers inspection, custody, storage, repair and other treatment of goods. Under this Act, uncollected goods may be sold six months after the date on which they were ready for collection to recoup the unpaid charges, storage fees, and costs of disposal by public auction (such as EBay).
It is important that you check your details on your receipt / email at the time of booking to ensure that we have your correct contact details. We will not be held responsible for any inaccuracies in the details provided.
NO FIX NO FEE POLICY
It can take many hours to fully diagnose your computer. This is a free service where we diagnose your laptop issue while your device remains on our premises. If you decide to not go ahead with the repair, only the courier fee will be charged.
Payment must be received in full before your item is returned/couriered back to you. Insurance reports are payable in advance. If client do decide to go ahead with the repair LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE will credit the insurance report payment towards your repair.
We provide 12 months parts and labour warranty. We will repair/replace any faults caused by us or replace any parts fitted by us during the part warranty period. If in the unlikely event same problem happens that we have fixed or any fault which is related to the service provided we will either try again to fix the problem at no extra charge. This excludes faults caused by the failure of other components after the repair has taken place, or by faults caused due to incorrect use or accidental damage. Certain know faults of a design nature will not be covered by this warranty policy more than once, i.e. we will only replace a part under warranty once.
Physical damage will not be covered under warranty, no exception.
Please note, you are responsible for the cost of returning your device to our workshop or we can arrange a courier service at the standard rates. This includes any onsite service where the laptop repairs done at your home/office, any warranty claim will need to be returned to our workshop for assessment at your own cost. LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE is not responsible to do any ONSITE warranty related service unless client agrees to pay a call out fee.
There is no warranty on any liquid damage repairs. Any device that is found to have any signs of liquid damage internally will be exempt from any warranties offered. We may still be able to do the repair but due to the nature of liquid damage/corrosion we will not offer any warranty what-so-ever. We will stop working on your device and inform you as soon as we see any signs of internal liquid damage. Only after speaking with you will we continue with the repair.
Apple May refuse to undertake any work on your device if it is repaired by anyone other than Apple. This includes both in-warranty and out-of-warranty repairs.
Work Not Done. If we omit to do a task you asked us to complete for whatever reason, the subsequent attendance to that task is not free. It is not a warranty matter.
ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE/ THEFT OR FIRE
By giving your laptop to LAPTOP SCREEN REPALCE for repair, you agree we will not be liable if your device is lost or damaged by fire, car accident or theft. We will not accept any claims relating or loss, theft or accidental damage what so ever.
Testimonials: You agree to allow LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE to use any testimonial you provide in any medium.
You acknowledge that you have read and agree to our terms and conditions by booking in a job with LAPTOP SCREEN REPLACE.
